I wanted to create an alternative movie poster for The Queens Gambit for a while, but I had a hard time finding an idea that would create an amazing story but also look dope.

I came up with this concept of a younger Beth playing an older Beth, where the character development is shown as well with emotions, posture etc..

I aimed for the younger version of Beth to be nervous, erratic and a bit uneasy as seen on the left, while the older (grandmaster?) Beth is very poised, and confident in her moves on the board
